Inspired by the shapes and colors of the French and Italian Riviera, Christian Tortu, the prestigious French floral designer, created this captivating stoneware collection for Costa Nova of Portugal. By mixing shapes and colors of its landscape, Tortu captured the sublime features of this region. To mix and match with pieces in other colors and shapes in the collection. The hand-glazed, translucent, crackle and purposely uneven bright green dish ('tomate' as in tomato leaf) measures 8.5" by 7.5".  Each plate is uniquely colored on its face and is glazed matte black on the reverse. Great alone for serving appetizers etc., or as first course or dessert plate with other Riviera dishware. Microwave and dishwasher safe.
