Hand carved in Maine, out of various woods, this backscratcher is a revelation! The 'handle' is the end with the hole (for hanging) and the 'scratching' end is the narrow one with the rounded, firm, edge. The magic of this piece is it's overall size and shape, it's curved form -- that allows for a good reach and varying degrees of pressure to be used without 'compromising' the piece (think of little 'hands' on the old fashioned version snapping off). A mystery for observers, but a must for many. Wood grain will vary.
